ABOUT THE ROLE
This role plays a central role in leading customer-facing and internal program execution for Sylux’s FIR sensing and ADAS‑related projects. This position manages schedules, coordinates global engineering teams, supports OEM/Tier‑1 engagements, and ensures successful delivery from concept through mass production.
The ideal candidate excels at structured execution, cross‑functional communication, and navigating the complexity of automotive development cycles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for FIR sensing and ADAS programs.
- Serve as the primary interface for Japan OEM/Tier‑1 customers.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S.
- Manage program documentation, milestones, risk tracking, and reporting.
- Support RFQ/RFI responses, technical reviews, and customer design discussions.
- Oversee project readiness for validation, pilot builds, and mass production.
- Track and escalate issues related to quality, delivery, and performance.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product roadmap development.
- Represent Sylux at customer meetings, technical workshops, and industry events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 – 8 years of project management or technical program leadership experience in automotive, electronics, or ADAS domains.
- Strong understanding of automotive development cycles and validation processes.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive structured execution.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with Japan OEMs or Tier‑1 suppliers.
- Familiarity with thermal infrared systems, perception algorithms, or ADAS sensors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to coordinate across global teams.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple parallel programs.
