The Software Integration Test Engineer is responsible for verifying the integration of software components within automotive systems (ECUs, domain controllers, ADAS platforms, etc.) as defined by the system architecture. This role ensures that integrated software meets functional, performance, and safety requirements, and comply with automotive standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, SAE 21434 and ASPICE. In this role the engineer collaborates closely with software developers, software architects, and hardware teams to identify defects early, improve software quality, and ensure reliable vehicle functionality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform software integration testing at module, subsystem, and system levels for automotive ECUs and embedded platforms; validate communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and AUTOSAR stack integration.
• Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases; create test scripts using Python, CAPL or MATLAB.
• Perform tests using environments like MIL, SIL, HIL and ECU bench setups
• Verification of AUTOSAR layers, CAN/LIN/Ethernet stack interfaces, microcontroller drivers and OS tasks using testing tools like Vector CANoe, Ansys TPT, Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines, static/dynamic interface checkers.
• Develop test plans, specifications, and traceability matrices; ensure full requirement coverage.
• Identify, analyze, and track defects; perform root cause analysis with development teams and verify fixes through regression testing.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262); support audits, reviews, documentation, and continuous process improvement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field;
• Minimum 3 years in software testing/validation (automotive/embedded preferred).
• Experience with automated testing and embedded systems
• Python or CAPL scripting skills; C/C++ is a plus
• Knowledge of HIL/SIL testing, CAN/LIN/Ethernet, and test management tools
• Understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262, and validation processes
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• ISTQB Certified Tester is a plus
• Fluent English proficiency
