ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Test Software Development Engineer to join our SYLUX development team as a full-time hire or Consultant under contract, work based on-site in Goleta, California. The Test Equipment Software Development Engineer will develop optical test and calibration systems for high volume manufacturing of infrared imaging cameras for ADAS applications. 

Major responsibilities: 

Develop software for optical test equipment and burn-in requirements supporting RFQ’s and supplier technical evaluations. Architect, develop and deploy globally, standardized optical test and calibration system software. Global process ownership. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in Test Software Engineering and Optics Testing for ADAS cameras 
  • BS/MS in EE, Physics and/or Systems Engineering. 
  • Proven track record developing high volume, intrinsic calibration, active alignment and functional test equipment hardware and software integration. 
  • Expertise developing optical test and environmental test software for cameras, including MTF, intrinsic calibration and dynamic monitoring of camera performance during environmental stress tests. 
  • Experience improving manufacturing yields, cycle times and process capabilities. 
  • Understanding of ADAS camera performance metrics, infrared camera experience a plus. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Effective working in a global team environment. 

IMMEDIATE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Contribute to test equipment concept designs, specify requirement and recommend appropriate sources for test equipment components 
  • Integrate test software with test station hardware 
  • Develop Code in C/C++, MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes), utilize Microsoft Windows using C/C++ and MFC, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Eclipse, WiX (Windows Installer XML Toolset) as needed. 
  • Develop and release of commercial software applications, successive releases and change management. 
  • Develop Easy-to-use user interfaces and production of software that adheres to requirements, contains good documentation, and provides ease of testing and maintenance. 
  • Create object-oriented code with architecture that is easily expandable to shorten successive releases and improve code maintenance. 
  • Exhibit a productive and supportive personality to promote group cohesion and communication.
